Job Title: Senior Event Manager
Reports to: Co-founders
Location: Chicago (Hybrid: Remote, In-studio, Onsite)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Event Manager to join our team and lead the end-to-end event lifecycle, ensuring that every detail—from concept to execution—creates an inspiring and seamless experience for our clients. If you're passionate about Chicago’s creative scene and have a knack for elevating events with exceptional logistics and design, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Lifecycle Management:
Contribute to the entire event lifecycle: from concept development to post-event communication.
Collaborate with co-founders to design seasonal event menus and creative concepts tailored to client needs.
Develop marketing materials, sales collateral, and pre-event communications to ensure consistent client engagement.
Onsite Event Management:
Serve as the main onsite point of contact for clients, vendors, and team members.
Oversee event setup, décor, and aesthetics to ensure the look and feel align with the event vision.
Execute all onsite logistics, including vendor coordination, event load-in/load-out, and guest engagement, to ensure the success of each event.
Be a advocate for the brand and uphold a high standard of professionalism
Ability to think on your feet and problem solve creatively
Marketing & Sales Support:
Draft engaging and creative event proposals, sales emails, and promotional content that captivates potential clients.
Capture event moments for social media to showcase the Commonspace brand, driving engagement across Instagram and other platforms.
Team & Vendor Management:
Manage a team of contractors, interns, and vendors, ensuring seamless coordination and execution before, during, and after events.
Source and secure event vendors and partners, ensuring high-quality service and products that meet client expectations..

Creative Visionary: An eye for design, event aesthetics, and trends that ensure our events are stylish and memorable.
Logistical Pro: Strong skills in managing operations, event flow, and problem-solving under pressure.
Leadership: A natural leader who can manage onsite teams and build strong relationships with vendors and clients alike.
Chicago Enthusiast: Passion for the local culture, small businesses, and communities that make Chicago special.
Requirements:
5+ years of event management experience, with a proven track record of executing large-scale events.
Strong skills in Google Suite and other project management tools.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
US Driver’s License; access to a vehicle is a plus.
Ability to lift 30 lbs unaided, if needed.
